ARPA Stories is a chance for counties to share how they are using ARPA funds to improve their community.
Thomas County has partnered with Thedford Village for a subgrant in the amount of $35,000.
The funding will pay to bring the interior of the Thedford's water holding tanks up to code. Without the funding, the estimated cost would be a 56% fee increase that would fall on the village taxpayers. The village has also received ARPA funds and will also be applying their funds to the project. The Thomas County Board of Commissioners approved the request and will disburse funds when the project is completed.
Thomas County also recently agreed on some parameters for other subgranting funds and currently have three applicants for small businesses in the area.
