NACO represents all 93 counties in Nebraska. One of NACO’s principal roles is to advocate on behalf of county government at the federal, state, and local levels. NACO’s policy positions are designed to advance the interests of all Nebraska counties.
The NACO Board of Directors hosts a Legislative Conference in October of each year in order to adopt its legislative platform and determine what legislation it will pursue with the Nebraska Legislature. In January of each year, the Board’s Legislative Committee takes positions on all legislation affecting county government.
NACO does not endorse or oppose individual candidates for office.
