NACO Northeast District representative Peggy Belt is relatively new to the Medicare space but is no stranger to education. As a retired teacher, she enjoys helping break down the complexities or Medicare to help her clients make informed decisions.
“After years of teaching high school students, my love for education hasn’t faded – it’s just shifted to a new subject. Helping others understand their options isn’t just my job; it’s my passion. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be, and I believe that knowledge is power. Just like I guided students through a complex piece of literature or helped them write a speech, I now guide retirees through their Medicare choices.”
Peggy knows that Medicare can feel like a maze of deadlines, unfamiliar terminology, and plan options that all start to sound the same. Peggy takes pride in her ability to listen to their individual needs, explain their choices in a comprehensive but digestible way, and make sure they have peace of mind and confidence in their decisions.
“At its heart, my work is about service – meeting people where they are and helping them navigate a complex system so they can focus on living their best lives. By partnering with NACO, I can reach more residents, provide clear Medicare guidance, and help them make decisions that protect both their health and financial well-being. Together, we’re making sure people have the resources they need to age with dignity.”
Peggy is a grandma to seven energetic grandkids. Whether she’s vacationing somewhere with family, tending to her flower gardens, reading a good book, or helping someone with Medicare, she believes that “life is meant to be lived with joy, a little laughter, and a whole lot of heart.”
