NACO and League issue joint statement regarding Valuations Reform Working Group
July 26, 2023 - The League of Nebraska Municipalities and the Nebraska Association of County Officials look forward to participating on this working group. The Governor has assembled the right stakeholders for what is sure to be a robust and productive discussion regarding property tax policy in our State. Municipalities and counties look forward to crafting a model which is transparent to our taxpayers and preserves the ability for local political subdivisions to deliver the services expected by our citizens and raise the revenues necessary to perform those duties assigned to us by the State of Nebraska.”

The Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO) is a non-profit organization that serves to represent the interests of all elected and appointed county officials in the state. NACO was organized in 1894 and is composed of 93 member counties. The association's membership includes, serves and represents all 15 offices within county government.
The League of Nebraska Municipalities is a nonprofit organization of cities and villages that was mobilized in the early 1900s to represent municipalities in the Legislature. A priority of the organization is representing its members in the legislative process.
